Anna Carnick — Crafting Community exhibition

As a passionate curator with great insight and sensitivity, Anna curated the exhibition 'Crafting Community' during Art Week Berlin 2025 at the Foundry / Wilhelmhallen.
Anna Carnick is an American-born, Berlin-based independent writer, editor, and curator. She has curated and produced design exhibitions, events, and cultural programming around the globe, including contributions at revered venues such as 5VIE during Milan Design Week, Miami Design District, Carpenters Workshop Gallery, EDIT Napoli, Design Miami, and more. Throughout, her work celebrates the storytelling power of design; nurtures emerging talent and community; and champions the belief that good design can and should make a positive impact.
Anna is also cofounder of Anava Projects, a creative agency dedicated to supporting designers and endeavors that center social and environmental awareness.

This support has enabled Anna to showcase significant pieces by the Georgian design duo Rooms at the "Crafting Community” exhibition, all of which honor the spirit of the Georgian people and the country's ongoing resistance movement.
Participants include Yassine Ben Abdallah (Réunion), Bokja (Lebanon), Jerome Byron (USA and Germany), Anas Chao (The Netherlands), Estefanía de Ros (Guatemala), Rosana Escobar (Colombia), Fango (Colombia and Spain), ibiyanε (Martinique), Noe Kuremoto (United Kingdom), Mischer’Traxler Studio (Austria), Rozana Montiel (Mexico), Beatriz Morales (Mexico and Germany), Platalea (Mexico), Rive Roshan (The Netherlands), Rooms Studio (Georgia), Lukas Wegwerth and Corinna Dehn (Germany), Omer Arbel (Canada, and Victoria Yakusha (Ukraine), as well as a presentation of traditional Tunisian ceramics by Malles Shaping Stories (Tunisia and Italy), in collaboration with artisans Hanene Mechrgui, Farida Saidani, Marowa Saidani, Mufida Saidani, and Najed Saidani.
